The Workshop was held to build national capacities in key trade and environment issues, including the obstacles associated with non-tariff barriers to trade and the costs of compliance with various health, safety and environmental standards. The Workshop also helped to launch the Yemeni National Committee on Environment and Trade through the formulation of its draft work programme in concordance with national trade and environment priorities.
