The regional workshop addressed the main conclusions and recommendations of the analytical studies and the sub regional workshops concerning the relationship between sustainable development, trade, investment, environmental goods and services and intellectual property rights. In particular, it sleeked to examine how, in practice, international trade rules and provisions (regarding investments and intellectual property rights) impact sustainable development objectives in the Latin American and Caribbean Region.
